International Maternity Awards (#IMExpo)

Tuesday 12 November 2019, Millennium Gloucester Hotel

The first International Maternity Awards dinner will take place on the evening of Tuesday 12 November at the prestigious Millennium Gloucester Hotel, Kensington and is a unique opportunity to recognise and celebrate the winners of the Inaugural International Maternity Awards.

Streamed live and available on demand after the ceremony, the awards will be viewed around the world via international professional associations, maternity networks, YouTube, dedicated Vimeo channels and academic portals.

RESEARCH AWARDS

RESEARCH INNOVATION AWARD

Eligibility

Nominations open to all midwives, doctors, maternity support workers, teams, companies, suppliers, tech providers, charities and employers.

Description

This award is to recognise and celebrate research innovation that influences maternity care provision, outcomes and organisation, including: improvements in safety, wellbeing, outcomes, staff and service development.

Research may focus on science, health, management, leadership or psycho-social research, but should demonstrate impact on maternity services.

POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH ACHIEVEMENT IN MATERNITY AWARD

Eligibility

Postgraduate and recent masters/PhD awardees, for work while a postgraduate student that impacts on maternity services.

Description

For medical, midwifery or other maternity workers (eg other health care professionals/doulas/infant feeding support workers); specifically for postgraduate researchers or postgraduate students/student group work.

CLINICAL RESEARCH AWARD

Eligibility

Nominations are open to all clinical researchers, teams and individuals that are shaping clinical research in maternity services.

Description

This award is to recognise and celebrate clinical researchers and teams that are influencing maternity care provision, outcomes and organisation, including: improvements in safety, wellbeing, outcomes, staff and service.

EDUCATION AWARDS

EDUCATION INNOVATION AWARD

Eligibility

Nominations open to all universities, schools of midwifery, government departments, education departments, midwives, doctors, HCPs, teams, companies suppliers, tech providers, charities and employers.

Description

Awarded for the development and delivery of innovative education programmes/curricula/modules/packages that aim to and can demonstrate impact for maternity care delivery and/or improved outcomes.

STUDENT MIDWIFE AWARD

Eligibility

Student midwives and newly qualified midwives, for work completed whilst studying as a student midwife.

Description

For midwifery and student group work, education initiative, community work, society work and volunteering that influences midwifery education and/or maternity services.

OBSTETRIC TRAINEE AWARD

Eligibility

All maternity medical staff, including anaesthetists, neonatologists, obstetric physicians, obstetricians.

Description

For midwifery and student group work, education initiative, community work.

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION AWARD

Eligibility

University or postgraduate education and training, trusts, schools of midwifery, lecturers, professors, consultants with education role.

Description

This award is for projects, resources and international education developments that are influencing maternity services and having global impact on midwifery and maternity care education.

CLINICAL PRACTICE AWARDS

Registered and practising midwives from around the world.

Description

For making significant and sustained contribution to midwifery as a profession that impacts on the care of women and their families.

Practising and registered maternity doctors (anaesthetists, obstetricians, neonatologists etc) from around the world.

Registered and practising midwives from the UK.

Practising and registered maternity doctors (anaesthetists, obstetricians, neonatologists etc) from the UK.

Full service team, maternity area specific team, acute setting, community setting, charity or specialist teams.

Eligibility

For developers and creators/innovators of new maternity care technologies that are influencing positive outcomes with regard to testing, screening, monitoring, home equipment etc.
