In 1991, Anna became a registered midwife to thereafter complete a bachelor’s degree and receive a certificate as a teacher in Caring Education in 1999. Her master’s degree was obtained in Social Science with a Major in education with specialization in Caring Education at Stockholm University, Sweden.
Anna has a broad professional and clinical experience as a midwife since 28 years. She also has experience as a teacher in nursing. In August 2010, she joined the UNFPA as a Senior Programme Specialist in Midwifery, posted in Bangladesh country office until 2013. Thereafter, she served for UNFPA in Lao PDR for three years, supporting the midwifery development in the country. Following Lao PDR, she worked for the World Health Organization as a consultant in the Maternal Newborn and Child Health Department well as the WASH Department,
Anna joined Laerdal Global Health as a Global Program and Implementation Manager in 2017, leading the P&I team forward in the overall mission of helping saving the lives of mothers and newborns.
