Mindy is an Israeli qualified nurse/midwife working in a large tertiary level maternity hospital in Tel Aviv.
A recent PhD graduate in midwifery at the University of Central Lancashire, UK, her research focused on “Similarities in mother-daughter labour and birth characteristics” providing a first example of how family-based studies may be used to understand individual variation in birth physiology.
Through her teaching midwifery both in the classroom and in the clinical setting, Mindy promotes, protects and supports normal physiological labour and birth practices with a strong emphasis on birth as a normal event in increasingly medicalised settings.
