Dr Shawn Walker is a Midwifery Lecturer at King’s College London and a Breech Specialist Midwife at St Thomas’ Hospital, a role that she pioneered.
Shawn researches how to increase the safety of vaginal breech birth and develop midwifery expertise to support the term breech pregnancy care pathway.
Out of her research and collaboration with other professionals, she created the Breech Birth Network, now a Community Interest Company that provides breech training across the UK and internationally. She blogs at breechbirth.org.uk.
