Hannah was appointed Managing Editor of the Student Midwife Journal at All4Maternity in April 2019 but has helped develop All4Maternity since its inception in 2017. She guides the student co-editors to accomplish their vision for the new journal and oversees editing and content creation. As a midwife editor she is able to advocate for important midwifery values, interlinking topics to create meaningful and contextual work to be enjoyed by their readers. In particular she is committed to finding innovative ways to support student midwives as they transition through their studies.
Hannah has a passion for translating evidence, developing concepts and design. She concurrently runs BloodtoBaby.com, an award winning website dedicated to physiological transition of the newborn with optimal cord clamping, which she founded 4 years ago. BloodtoBaby continues to grow and is underpinned by her desire to improve global & public health and midwifery practice by gathering evidence and using technology powerfully to translate important information into manageable pieces for practitioners and women alike.
As a Masters student Hannah has explored the benefits, challenges & consequences of integrating social media and web technology into midwifery practice. This, she believes could improve women’s health literacy, choice, empowerment and connectivity with healthcare professionals, vital to future service sustainability and relational continuity of care.
