Kernow Maternity Voices Partnership

Nicki Burnett has been the Vice chair of Kernow Maternity Voices partnership since 2018. As part of this role she works alongside the Local maternity system to support the implementation of Better births across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to ensure service users have a voice and the opportunity to coproduce services.

As part of the MVP Nicki has experience of coproducing care pathways, facilitating feedback in complex situations and ensuring service user voice is central to all conversations from ground level upwards and has a keen interest in Birth rights, inclusion, accessibility and health inequalities.

Nicki also works as a birth doula and Antenatal teacher across Cornwall, supporting birthing people and families during the perinatal period to know their rights, understand the evidence and work towards a positive birth experience.
