Petra ten Hoope-Bender has been a midwife since 1985 and was an advocate and a member of the board of the Dutch organization of midwives since the early 90’s.
She is the Director of Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health at ICS Integrare.
She is the former Secretary General of the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) and the former Interim Director of the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH).
